East Carolina Anesthesia Associates is the preeminent anesthesia group in North Carolina and we want you to join our growing team! We are seeking ambitious and driven anesthetists to join our team at ECU Health due to site and department expansions in care, including new ORs being added to the surgery center, ECU Health Surgicenter. This position provides anesthetics for ECU Health Medical Center. CRNAs manage all anesthetics with extreme autonomy, while practicing in an ACT setting. We offer high patient acuity allowing the new CRNA and/or experienced CRNA to fully implement their clinical skills and education, and continue to expand within any area of expertise that may be desired. CRNAs may chose to participate in the clinical instruction of anesthesia students via our on-campus program. All surgical specialties are presented and all surgical procedures are performed excluding some transplants and extreme burn cases. It is the CRNA that manages all anesthetics; with encouraged and supported autonomy in practice. ECAA is expanding our stable and loyal collaboration with ECU Health by taking over anesthesia at several rural sites throughout North Carolina. We understand the complexity of anesthesia at these locations and also understand the rural area. That is why our team has partnered with ECU Health to offer one of the strongest packages in North Carolina. Starting base of nearly $300,000 + call pay + additional increased call pay and additional incentives. Earning potential is the mid 300s to low 400s, not including our robust benefits. Location: ECU Health Chowan (Edenton, NC) and ECU Health Bertie (Windsor, NC) Hospitals Status: Full-time (exempt) Salary: High starting base of $300,000 + retention bonuses and call incentives. Schedule and Call: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm. 3 weeks on, 1 week off. Urgent/emergent cases are performed from 3:00pm - 7:00pm. Call is shared equally and rotated among the CRNAs. The CRNA is first call. Overview: ECU Health Chowan Hospital is a 25-bed critical access rural medical center located in Edenton, North Carolina. Edenton serves approximately 30,000 patients per year and 200 anesthetics are provided, on average, each month. Chowan has 3 main ORs, with 2 back up rooms for endo and c-sections. Cases are mainly bread and butter and include but are not limited to, GS, Ortho, Urology, Podiatry, Ob-Gyn, Eyes (cataracts), Dental. Peds are rare. Opportunities for epidurals and blocks! Our CRNAs are highly autonomous at this location and run solo back-up. The schedule is shared between 4 other CRNAs. Surgical cases start at 0700 and end at 1500. Call begins at 1500. The OR is covered by 3 CRNAs and one anesthesiologist every day, Monday through Friday. The coverage for this location is also shared with ECU Health Bertie Hospital in Windsor, North Carolina. This site is a CRNA-only covered hospital with one CRNA covering Monday - Friday from 0700 - 1500. Call is shared among the CRNAs at ECU Health Chowan. The CRNA will be employed by East Carolina Anesthesia Associates, one of the largest anesthesia private practices in North Carolina. The practice is managed and operated by the anesthesiologists that provide services at its various sites across the state. The most beneficial part about this structure is that the incumbent will have significant autonomy, but immediate support when and if needed. Our Eastern teams work collaboratively together to ensure that our CRNAs are comfortably assimilated into their role and within the practice. Edenton is a coastal and waterfront town situated on the beautiful shoreline of the Albemarle Sound leading right to the North Carolina coastline. This quaint town is an attraction for it's historical landmarks and is surrounded by and abundance of wildlife and state parks.
