Advocate Health is seeking a Lead CRNA to support clinical excellence and provide local leadership within our anesthesia team. This role combines hands-on clinical care with leadership responsibilities, partnering closely with physician and operational leaders to support team performance, engagement, and patient outcomes.
SCHEDULE
Rotating schedule with flexible shift options: 9-, 11-, or 13-hour shifts (or combination)
Dedicated leadership time (~10% of role)

Responsibilities
Leadership:
Partner with physician and operational leaders to optimize workflows and clinical practice
Support recruiting, onboarding, and mentorship of CRNAs and APPs
Participate in performance reviews and team development
Lead engagement initiatives and promote a positive team culture
Serve as a key liaison between frontline clinicians and leadership
Clinical:
Provide full-scope anesthesia care across a variety of patient populations
Develop and manage patient care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
Ensure high-quality, evidence-based care and accurate documentation
Support coordinated care and communication across care teams
Education Requirements
Postgraduate degree required. All candidates must hold an active National Provider Identifier (NPI).

We understand the complexity of anesthesia at these locations and also understand the rural area. That is why our team has partnered with ECU Health to offer one of the strongest packages in North Carolina. Starting base of nearly $300,000 + call pay + additional increased call pay and additional incentives. Earning potential is the mid 300s to low 400s, not including our robust benefits. Location: ECU Health Chowan (Edenton, NC) and ECU Health Bertie (Windsor, NC) Hospitals Status: Full-time (exempt) Salary: High starting base of $300,000 + retention bonuses and call incentives. Schedule and Call: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm. 3 weeks on, 1 week off. Urgent/emergent cases are performed from 3:00pm - 7:00pm. Call is shared equally and rotated among the CRNAs. The CRNA is first call. Overview: ECU Health Chowan Hospital is a 25-bed critical access rural medical center located in Edenton, North Carolina. Edenton serves approximately 30,000 patients per year and 200 anesthetics are provided, on average, each month. Chowan has 3 main ORs, with 2 back up rooms for endo and c-sections. Our CRNAs are highly autonomous at this location and run solo back-up. The schedule is shared between 4 other CRNAs. Surgical cases start at 0700 and end at 1500. Call begins at 1500. The OR is covered by 3 CRNAs and one anesthesiologist every day, Monday through Friday. The coverage for this location is also shared with ECU Health Bertie Hospital in Windsor, North Carolina. This site is a CRNA-only covered hospital with one CRNA covering Monday - Friday from 0700 - 1500. Call is shared among the CRNAs at ECU Health Chowan. The CRNA will be employed by East Carolina Anesthesia Associates, one of the largest anesthesia private practices in North Carolina. The practice is managed and operated by the anesthesiologists that provide services at its various sites across the state. The most beneficial part about this structure is that the incumbent will have significant autonomy, but immediate support when and if needed. Our Eastern teams work collaboratively together to ensure that our CRNAs are comfortably assimilated into their role and within the practice. Starting base of nearly $350,000 (including mandatory call pay) + additional post call incentives + signing AND retention bonuses. Location: Duplin Kenansville, North Carolina Status: Full-time (exempt) Salary: High starting base of nearly $300,000 + additional call incentives, $400,000+ potential and up to $100,000 signing bonus!! Schedule and Call: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:30pm. Urgent/emergent cases are performed from 3:00pm - 7:00pm. Call is shared equally and rotated among 3 CRNAs. The CRNA is first call, MD/DO is backup. 10 weeks off per year! Overview: ECU Health Duplin Hospital is an 81-bed rural medical center located in Kenansville, North Carolina.
