CRNA

Faculty Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with a 100% clinical appointment at Ben Taub Hospital, a Level 1 trauma center affiliated with Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Provides comprehensive anesthesia care for patients across a broad range of surgical and procedural specialties, including trauma, obstetrics, general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, thoracic, and non-operating room anesthesia (NORA) locations.

Additionally supports the educational mission of Baylor College of Medicine through clinical instruction and mentorship of Student Registered Nurse Anesthetists (SRNAs) during daily patient care activities. Participates in departmental quality improvement initiatives, operational workflows, and collaborative efforts to advance perioperative and anesthesia services within a large public academic healthcare system.

Responsibilities include preoperative evaluation, development and administration of anesthetic plans, intraoperative management, postoperative care, emergency airway management, and participation in rapid response and trauma activations. Practices in a high-acuity academic environment alongside multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety, efficiency, and evidence-based care.
